At the dawn of the 2000s, AMG, Mercedes-Benz’s renowned high-performance division, consistently delivered extraordinary sports cars. Following models like the CL, SL, and S 65 AMG, as well as the SL and E 55 AMG, AMG unveiled its most exclusive creation yet: the CLK DTM AMG. This road-going marvel was inspired by AMG-Mercedes’ dominance in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (DTM), where they won 9 of 10 races in 2003, with Bernd Schneider claiming the drivers’ championship in the W209-based CLK DTM AMG.

The CLK DTM AMG became an instant collector’s item, with only 100 coupes and 80 convertibles produced. Priced at €243,386 upon release in 2004 (equivalent to €331,300 today), the car embodied AMG’s commitment to performance and exclusivity, perfected through over 30,000 km of testing by official drivers.

Even rarer is the CLK DTM AMG P900 prototype featured here—one of only two ever built. Unlike production models, it was based on a CLK 500 and served as a test mule for AMG’s first fully in-house engine, the 6.2-litre V8 M156. With just 3,500 km on the clock, this exceptional prototype offers a unique opportunity for collectors to own a piece of Mercedes-Benz history.
