## Caption

I first mentioned this brown sugar Swiss meringue buttercream when I shared my gingerbread sandwich cookies a month ago (did you catch it?).

Like traditional Swiss meringue buttercream, this frosting is so silky smooth and perfect for piping. It’s also not too sweet, but it does have a richer depth of flavor, thanks to the brown sugar (also, that color is gorgeous!). It pairs especially well with spiced and warm-flavored desserts (suggestions in todays story), but the combinations with this one are truly endless!
