✈️ Tis the season…😩😅 Here are 4 THINGS TO DO WHEN YOUR FLIGHT GETS CANCELLED (in order from most effective to least effective):

1. Log into airline app to book new flights. Typically you will have received an email or notification giving you alternative flight options. This is often the fastest and most stress-free method to get rebooked.

2. Reach out to airline on their social media platforms. Airlines are *extremely* responsive to tweets from frustrated customers (probably because they are afraid of negative press)!

3. Go to airport to talk to gate agent (if flight is same day). A few months ago, upon waking up at 5am to use the restroom, I found out that my 10:30am flight from Austin to Atlanta had been cancelled (thus jeopardizing my entire itinerary, which had a final destination of Berlin, Germany). When rebooking on the app didn’t work, I rushed to the airport and was talking to someone at the counter by 6:30am. It turned out to be a smart move— I was on a plane to Atlanta by 7:20am. 💅🏾 

4. Call the airline/booking platform directly. Unless you’re patient/have a lot of time on your hands, this is the absolute last resort when it comes to rebooking a cancelled flight! Wait times to speak to a customer service rep tend to be very long, so only do this when you’ve already exhausted options 1 through 3.
