Blood Jersey Alert!

Dylan Cardwell's #44 jersey suffered a rip during Saturday's game at Georgia. Cardwell re-entered the ballgame wearing the spare #40 jersey with no name on the back.

A "blood jersey" is the spare jersey on hand for when a player's normal jersey is compromised by a tear, blood, or other issues.

The spare jersey hasn't been seen since 2023 when Chris Moore twice wore #41 after bloodying his primary jersey. J'Von McCormick wore #55 after his jersey disintegrated against Arkansas in 2020. Horace Spencer wore a white #55 in 2019 versus Kentucky. Allen Payne also wore a white #55 in 2014 against Vanderbilt.
