🚨 BREAKING NEWS: Memphis Police Chief Confirmed 🚨

The City of Memphis has officially confirmed Cerelyn “C.J.” Davis as Chief of Police, removing her interim title nearly a year after it was initially in limbo.

📅 What Happened:
	•	Today, the Memphis City Council voted unanimously to confirm Chief Davis.
	•	Mayor Paul Young and MPD leadership stood alongside Davis during the decision.
	•	This comes after a non-binding vote last year delayed her confirmation, leading to her serving as interim chief.

🗣 What She Said:
“This vote signifies our shared commitment to safety in Memphis and improving the Memphis Police Department.”
