⚡ URGENT: MEMPHIS ENERGY CONSERVATION ALERT ⚡

Memphis Light, Gas & Water (MLGW) is asking ALL customers to reduce energy usage immediately, as demand is expected to surpass the Tennessee Valley Authority’s (TVA) all-time energy record set last January.

This voluntary energy conservation alert was initially planned for 5 a.m. - 9 a.m. Wednesday but has been updated to take effect NOW.

⚡ What You Can Do to Help:
	•	Set your thermostat to 68°F or lower.
	•	Unplug electric vehicles and space heaters.
	•	Postpone using large appliances like clothes dryers and dishwashers.
	•	Turn off lights and unplug devices not in use.

💡 MLGW has assured that TVA is prepared to meet peak demand. However, every small action helps to reduce strain on the grid.
