The story of Lamborghini’s rise is as legendary as any superhero origin tale. In the early 1960s, Ferruccio Lamborghini, a tractor manufacturer with a passion for cars, sought to outshine Ferrari after a personal slight from Enzo himself. His early creations, the elegant 350GT and 400GT, laid the groundwork, but it was the groundbreaking Miura that cemented Lamborghini as a major force in the automotive world. Named after famed bull breeder Don Eduardo Miura, the Miura debuted as a bare rolling chassis at the 1965 Turin Motor Show, stunning audiences when the fully realized car was unveiled at the 1966 Geneva Salon. With its bold mid-engine layout, breathtaking design by 27-year-old Marcello Gandini, and race-inspired engineering, the Miura set the template for the modern supercar.

Chassis 3057, a 1967 Miura P400, embodies this legacy in stunning detail. Completed as the 37th production car, it was originally delivered to American owner Ben Johnson, who toured Europe in his vibrant Rosso Miura coupe before bringing it home. After years in storage following his untimely passing, the car was rescued in 1978 by Dr. Dean Aberman, who cherished it for 25 years, driving it enthusiastically and maintaining it with the help of Lamborghini expert Jeff Stephan. In 2015, the Miura underwent a meticulous restoration led by Stephan, earning numerous accolades, including Best Restored Miura and Best in Show at prestigious events. With its authenticity, craftsmanship, and storied history, chassis 3057 remains one of the finest examples of this iconic model, ready for its next chapter under a passionate caretaker.
