Meet Maya Denkmire ’25, a creative writing major with a concentration in education. Over the summer, Maya was interning at The Telling Room, a non-profit organization who works to empower youth through writing. “It was my experience in my Teaching Imaginative Writing class with Professor Rogers that encouraged me to explore ways I could combine my love of writing with my love of teaching and working with children,” Maya said. She talks more about this program and her subsequent internship at the link in our bio.
