If you grew up watching Sesame Street, you know that the TV show booked amazing musical guests—to name a few, Ray Charles, Nile Rodgers, Stevie Wonder, and Destiny’s Child. But did you know that Denyce Graves ’85 has also visited the show multiple times? She’s performed the classic tune “Sing” with penguins, as well as a bug opera—and (pictured) sang an opera to Elmo as a lullaby.

Discover more about how Graves went from Lorain Street to Sesame Street in the latest episode of Running to the Noise, the Oberlin College and Conservatory podcast hosted by President Carmen Twillie Ambar. Find it at the link in bio!
