W🏀 westernwomensball went 1-2 in their last 3 games against the Guelph Gryphons and York Lions. 

Last weekend, the Gryphons snapped the Mustangs 8-game win streak, taking the game 89-60. annie_balfee was the standout for Western, scoring 18 points along with 2 rebounds and 2 assists.

The Mustangs bounced back against the York Lions, jennabutton and paris.al3xander came up big in their 92-74 win. Button had a 23-point, 11-rebound double-double and Alexander had a solid all-round performance with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. 

They returned to Guelph for a rematch, running with the top-seed for most of the game. The Gryphons 16-3 run in the fourth quarter closed out the game, as they took it 75-65. Balfe was the standout again with 15 points and 7 rebounds. kaileyreimer also notched 15 points and 5 rebounds. 

They resume action on Wednesday January 29th at 6PM EST against the Waterloo Warriors.
