With 28 restaurants and about 2,000 employees, mcdonaldsslovenija is the largest restaurant chain in the country. McDonald’s Slovenia believes this comes with a great responsibility toward the #environment – and as part of a three-year partnership with the Slovenia Forest Service, employees are helping advance #sustainability ambitions and create positive #impact on local #communities. 

🌲 McDonald’s Slovenia and its development licensee, Alpe-Panon d.o.o., helped plant trees in the Karst terrain, an area devastated by Slovenia’s largest forest fire in history in 2022. 

🤝 Over the next three years, McDonald’s Slovenia will support tree planting projects through additional financial contributions and volunteer actions, planning to allocate a total of €30,000 toward these efforts. 

🍎 In Maribor, McDonald’s Slovenia is financially supporting the establishment of a new learning center to demonstrate sustainable agricultural practices, planting over 1,500 fruit trees. In 2025, the 1,000 strongest trees will be selected, grafted, and donated to the local community.
