Ursula Jones Dickson has been appointed as the district attorney of Alameda County, following a majority vote by the Alameda County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday.

Jones Dickson, who currently serves as a judge on the Alameda County Superior Court, was recommended by Save Alameda For Everyone, a coalition that spearheaded the removal of former DA Pamela Price. An alumna of UC Berkeley, she received her J.D. at the University of San Francisco and was first appointed to the Superior Court in 2013.
