While it certainly won’t take an entire day to explore, the old-fashioned restaurant on Morrison Road is definitely worth checking out – especially if you’re a hockey fan. 🏒⁠

“Built by three prominent NHL hockey players, Red Dutton, Cecil “Tiny” Thompson and Paul Thompson, this establishment has stood the test of time,” they explain on their website. ⁠

A nod to the two towns that were nearby in the 1930s – Little Chicago and Little New York, the Twin Cities Saloon is considered an important part of the community – often recognized as a reminder of the “rich oil and gas history in the area.”⁠

Feeling tired after you grab a beer and a bite to eat? It’s worth mentioning that the Saloon was originally a hotel and still has 7 original rooms for rent just upstairs – so enjoy yourself!⁠
