FEATURE FRIDAY // It’s #FeatureFriday with bostonballet2 member Michael Dadlez! Originally from Riverside, California, he started his classical training at age 5 at Riverside Ballet Arts under Glenda Carhart and David Allan.

💃 Favorite piece of music to perform to: Lucien in Paquita
🕺Favorite choreographer: George Balanchine
🍿Favorite dance movie: Center Stage. Literally Iconic!
👣 Favorite step: Renversé
🎼 Favorite ballet score: That one ballet in the end of the Movie “Center Stage” set to Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No.2 in C Minor that doesn’t exist.
🍌 Favorite midday snack: Bananas
🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 Can’t live without: My Family and Friends
✈️ Best place ever traveled to: Boston
💫 Superpower wish: Flight. Because how easy would it be to travel if you can fly.
🍽️ Dream dinner guests: Brittany Broski, Jennette McCurdy, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan, Michelle Obama, Renne Rapp
👯‍♀️Dream Dance Partner: Tiler Peck
📱 Guilty pleasure: I spend way too much time online. Like I am chronically on TikTok and Instagram.
💿 Current soundtrack to your life: The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess by Chappell Roan
🎤 Other (artistic) pursuits outside of dance: I love to choreograph, sing, and play my ukelele.
✨ Who inspires you to dance: Mikhail Baryshnikov. I used to have a VHS tape of him doing the Nutcracker I watched every day when I was a kid.
♥️ Advice for aspiring dancers: The day you plant the seed is not the day you bear the fruit.
🩰Dance is: what gives life culture and meaning. What is the point of living if you can’t express yourself and have fun.
