Comment “MORE” for a DM with more information on how to improve your workouts, energy and overall health.

Let’s set the record straight on the dos and don’ts of protein—because fueling your body with the right nutrients is key to feeling strong, energized, and healthy at any age. Don’t let misinformation hold you back from reaching your full potential!

1️⃣ Myth: The older you get, the less protein you need.
✅ Truth: As we age, we actually need MORE protein to maintain muscle mass, support metabolism, and keep our bones strong. Protein helps combat age-related muscle loss (sarcopenia), keeping you active, energized, and healthier overall. Aim for around 1.2–1.5g of protein per kg of body weight, especially if you’re active.

2️⃣ Myth: The more you work out, the less protein you need.
✅ Truth: If you’re working out regularly, you NEED more protein! Whether you’re doing strength training or cardio, your muscles need extra fuel to recover, rebuild, and get stronger. Active women should aim for at least 1.6–2g of protein per kg of body weight, depending on your workout intensity.

3️⃣ Myth: Too much protein damages your kidneys.
✅ Truth: This myth has been debunked for most healthy individuals! Research shows that high-protein diets don’t pose a risk to your kidneys unless you have pre-existing kidney issues. Just remember to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, as protein metabolism requires adequate fluid intake.

Whether you’re looking to improve your workouts, energy, or overall health, protein is key to maintaining strength, vitality, and muscle tone as you age. Don’t let these myths hold you back—fuel your body with what it needs!
