Eight weeks from tonight, it’s GAMBIT 50!

The 50th edition of the CHS Party of the Year is Saturday, March 29. Our signature fundraising gala will have great food and drink, special presentations and an exciting live auction that is for attendees only. All funds raised help us continue our mission of ensuring that every student has the transformational experience of a Canisius education.

Our GAMBIT Co-Chairs are part of a terrific community and volunteer effort that makes such an immense event possible.

“Canisius has given so much to my husband and sons that I want to give back with my service,” said Laura Gioia, mother of Alexander Gioia ’16 and Eric Gioia ’25.

“I had an outstanding experience – it’s the best school to attend for academics, athletics and spiritual enhancement,” said David Gioia. “I developed lifelong friendships – many ’87 graduates will be attending Gambit 50.”

“Over the last four years we watched Andrew transform in to a Man for Others and make lifelong friendships,” said the Mineos. “We want other families to have that experience.”

“My education at CHS showed me the world was full of opportunities and with hard work, the potential for any young man is limitless,” said Mike Mineo, one of four brothers to attend CHS: Mark Mineo ’94, Nicholas Mineo ’97 and Nathan Mineo ’02.

“Canisius has had a profound impact on so many of our family members and we welcomed the opportunity to give back,” said the Sheehans, who both have extensive family ties to Canisius, including Liz’s sister Molly Kooshoian and husband Peter ’93 (parents of Peter Kooshoian ’24) serving as GAMBIT XLIX Co-Chairs last year.
