Ever wondered what our Chemical, Biological, Radiological/Disaster Victim Identification Unit (CBR/DVIU) gets up to on typical day? Like the name, the answer is A LOT!

We recently joined them on a shift to show us the kind of work they get up to (even if we weren’t allowed to attend a real crime scene, fair).

This is just one example of the type of scenes the unit attends to. Others include:
👩‍🔬 processing scenes relating to clandestine drug laboratories
👩‍🔬 suspicious unidentified substances (white powder jobs)
👩‍🔬 chemical, biological and radiological related scenes
👩‍🔬 high risk human remains recovery
👩‍🔬 recovery of human remains from incidents resulting in mass fatalities.
