🪩 Portfolio Power: Your first step to becoming a successful concert/music photographer is a strong portfolio. Showcase your skills, but keep it clean, concise, and easily accessible for potential clients to see your talent at a glance.

🪩 Network = Net Worth: Once you’ve built a fire portfolio, begin connecting with local industry insiders and start to build your network. Your network is your net worth as it is in any industry and most opportunities come from word of mouth and relationships forged in the industry. Don’t take them for granted! 

🪩 Stay Open, Stay Busy: After you’ve built a decent portfolio & are beginning to network, the next step is to remain flexible and seize every opportunity that comes your way. I can’t stress this one enough. Embrace new challenges and say yes to gigs you normally wouldn’t — you never know where they might lead or how they might inevitably grow your network!
