## Caption

Liam McLinskey will be remembered as one of the best hockey players the College of the Holy Cross has ever seen. After being recognized as one of the nation's best players last season, the senior has been nominated once again as a nominee for the Hobey Baker Award.

The Hobey Baker Award, the college hockey equivalent of the Heisman Trophy, has been awarded every year since 1981 to the top collegiate hockey player in the nation. Unlike other top collegiate awards, the Hobey Baker Award allows for fans to vote in the selection process.

"It's a huge honor,"McLinskey said. "I was very excited to get the news last year, so getting that news again was a thrill."

Hockey began for McLinskey in Rockland County, alongside his cousins.  One cousin is C.J. McGee, currently playing for the Indy Fuel in the ECHL. Another is Drew Fortescue, currently a prospect for the New York Rangers and a member of gold meal-winning Team USA at the World Juniors earlier this year.
