🏴‍☠️El Capitan

One day, his statue will stand outside our home ground. Today, he’s still adding to the legend.

He’s the heartbeat of Steel City - captain since our inception, and our all-time leader in goals, assists, and appearances. No one has signed more autographs, posed for more photos, or drawn more high-pitched shrieks when he’s on the ball.

🏆 14 goals, 20 assists all-time
🔥 5 goals in National & Illinois State Cups
 🥉 3rd in league’s Golden Boot race in ’22

But Lysik’s greatness isn’t gifted. He meets every 5 am sunrise with sweat and sacrifice – because legends aren’t built in-season, they’re built before it, one early morning at a time.

Beyond the pitch, Jake is shaping the next generation—coaching Plainfield East’s varsity boys and young players at his boyhood club, Legacy SC in New Lenox.

He’s more than a player. He’s Steel City. And in 2025, he’s back for more.
