Two of our remarkable athletes are making their voices heard in Washington, D.C., this week to meet with lawmakers and legislative staff as part of the Special Olympics annual Capitol Hill Day initiative. 🇺🇸The conversations will focus on the need for more access to quality healthcare and school-based programming opportunities. The The Florida delegation includes Athlete Leaders David Helseth (Indian River County) and Sara Parker (Pasco County). They'll join other athletes from around the country to advocate for children and adults with intellectual disabilities – sharing their personal stories and encouraging lawmakers to support programs that help people with ID reach their greatest potential.💪
