KICKING OFF DISTRICT SEASON: The JV-A Knights kicked off their district season in short order on Friday Jan. 24, closing out the Navarro Vikings earlier than anticipated. Because the Knights were leading 8-0, under the new UIL rule, the game ended with 15 minutes remaining in the second half.

Freshman Hannah Kahn, who had a hat trick in the game, said the game helped the players gain experience and perfect their offensive plays.

“We were always confident and the first to the ball, which led to us keeping the pace of the game up,” Khan said. “We also did a great job connecting our passes and through balls especially.” 

Khan added that the players were able to identify and work on areas where they might improve.

“I think we could have worked on our communication, just in terms of making sure we know who’s going where and everything to keep our spacing right,” Khan said, “but I think that overall, it was a strong game and one that we can be proud of.”
