Patrick Gardner scouting report! Today's report will be a bit different as I got to interview Gardner and ask him a few questions. Questions and answers will be in this caption!

Q - Watching film, I saw that you operated out of the elbow a lot. You were the primary initiator for the offense. How comfortable do you feel being the initiator in an offense?

A - I’m very comfortable being the operator in an offense. Like a Jokic. I play better when my teammates trust me to make the right plays whether to pass , shoot or dribble. I’m very comfortable in situations similar to what the Warriors would run. I have a good feel for the game on offense and I feel a team can use my IQ to take advantage of slower bigs and undersized bigs.

Q - Is the Gleague somewhere you feel you will start your career? How exactly do you see the draft going at this point for yourself?

A - I'm not sure whether or not I’m going to go overseas or stay in the G- League. I just want to be on a team that gives best opportunity on and off the court. The NBA is the ultimate goal but I wouldn’t mind living somewhere else if the contract is better for me. Depending on how these next few months go I’ll think I’ll start to have an idea of what I would want to do more. There are so many factors that I am still considering and learning as I go.

Q - What would you say your biggest advantage is when you are on the court?

A - My biggest advantage is that I have multiple layers to my game. I train like a guard and I also train like a big. I can shoot, play off the dribble, bring the ball up, shoot off the dribble, drive, finish, and pass, I have good hands, and keep the defense on edge because it creates advantages for me and other teammates which isn't very common for a 7 footer. I'm not the most athletic, but I create opportunities to score by understanding angles and using pump fakes and being able to shoot.

Huge shoutout to Gardner for allowing me to interview him! Gardner recently worked out with the Warriors!
