At Portland’s Lunar New Year parade on Saturday, the Year of the Snake celebration included the unveiling of the dragon and a surprise performance from “retired” Portland dance-rock band The Slants.

Three members of theslants played a three-song acoustic set from the balcony of the Oregon Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association building on Northwest Davis Street.
