Hall of Famer Lamar Hunt, founder of the chiefs, was a titan of sports business. He co-founded one of the first professional tennis leagues - World Championship Tennis - in 1968, which elevated the careers of several iconic players. WCT played a key role in legitimizing pro tennis, and the development of the Open Era.

Hunt is a member of 3 Halls of Fame: the ITHF (Class of 1993), the soccerhof and the profootballHOF.
