has anyone ever told you that you were born perfect? I know, growing up in the south, that was not the language they used unless you fit neatly into a Friday night football schedule. I played sports but it was mostly for the post game snack time. 

everyone always says “why do you have to make it political?” - I’m not even trying to. But my existence is somehow a threat to the status quo just because I believe in universal healthcare and I have empathy. 

and I’m qu33r. 

words matter and I’ve learned that when you use your words - you have a duty to use them in a way to help others. That is my hope when I share some of the crazy comments I get. 

I want the people who see my posts to know that they are not alone. I get messages from kids and parents who are scared at the bullies on the internet and unfortunately that has become a fixture of the internet. 

with everything going on I thought to myself - how can I use my music in a way that creates change? And so I have selected the organization bornperfect to receive a portion of proceeds from my new version of MY REVIVAL with the nycgmc .

did you know that conversion therapy is still legal in 37 states? I read something recently that if your “rights” can be given and taken away between different presidential administrations - it’s not a right. With so much on the chopping block and so much unknown - the work of BORN PERFECT feels more vital than ever. 

I want qu33r and tra^ns kids to know that they are not alone. That they are not the ones who are causing harm. They are born perfect. It is our society that needs correction. Needs a good long time out to think about what they have and are doing. 

Every stream of this song now can make a difference in someone’s life - and that is my greatest dream.
