As part of her Honours year, she completed a research project with Victoria Police, which only further ignited her passion for forensic science.⁣ ⁣ Now working in the Forensic Integrated Sampling Unit (FISU), a multi-disciplinary evidence recovery team that combines the examinations for biology and fingerprinting by one examiner.⁣ ⁣ Cass is always looking to inspire inclusion and encourage gender equality in STEM. In doing so, she often looks to women within the Forensic Services Department, particularly those who hold leadership, management and research positions, feeling they have "paved the way for so many more women to follow in their footsteps".⁣ ⁣ Cass's advice to women and girls interested in a career in science? "Show your passion!
