As the captain of EMU’s Division 1 track and field team, Kyle is here to share how Eastern Michigan University, part of the Mid-American Athletic Conference, champions both academic and athletic excellence. With top-notch facilities and dedicated support, EMU ensures success on the field and in the classroom. 🏃‍♂️📚

Kyle, you’re not just a standout athlete but a beacon of EMU pride. As a recent graduate majoring in Environmental Science with a Concentration in the Environment & Society and Minors in Biology and Zoology, your dedication on and off the track is unmatched.

Throughout his time at EMU, Kyle built an impressive portfolio:

🏅 Won the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Humanitarian Award 🏅 Captained the track and field team for three years 
🏅 Served as a lead student fellow in the Honors College 🏅 Participated on the executive committee of the Sierra Club Huron Valley Group 
🏅 Worked with the Huron River Watershed Council to develop an environmental summer camp for local school children
🏅 Became the 5th student from EMU since 1950 to be inducted into the prestigious National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program (NSF GRFP) 
🏅 Received the most prestigious award at the university, the EMU Glenna Frank Miller Student Gold Medallion Award for Collegiate Leadership
