As the scholarship period comes to a close on Saturday, we wanted to take some time this week to highlight the leaders from our Leadership Program and some of the work that they do. First up is alejandrasmarie, our BIPOC Leader. 

It feels like Alejandra has been a part of the team for ages already, but really it’s the wealth of experience she brings with her, supporting people of varied backgrounds through her work at CSU and being an experienced cyclist! Alejandra did the 32-mile route her first year, then the 60-mile and finally the 100-mile last year at focofondo. 

In addition to running the BIPOC scholarship program, she’s advocated for more regular touch points for scholarship recipients to connect and also have access to education opportunities to further development as desired. It’s super exciting to support her vision and connect it with the support it needs to help athletes flourish, yes at focofondo, but 💯 wherever the bike might take them! Thank you alejandrasmarie 🙌
