Introducing your new favorite way to stay in the loop ➰

Channels on WhatsApp lets you privately follow the topics you care about.

Available now in Colombia 🇨🇴 and Singapore 🇸🇬 Coming soon 🌎

Channels are a simple and private way to get updates from people and organizations you care about on WhatsApp. Channels sit within your Updates tab, separate from chats with family and friends. Think of Channels like a one-way broadcast for admins to send text, photos, videos, and more.
Channels can be about almost anything — your hobbies, sports teams, and even updates from local officials. You can discover and follow your favorite Channels all without leaving WhatsApp.

We stay committed to protecting your privacy. Here’s a quick overview of our privacy practices for Channels:
1️⃣ Followers and admins can’t discover your phone number from a channel.
2️⃣ Your contacts can't see when you follow a channel, unless they are the channel admin.
3️⃣ Channels are optional and kept in a separate tab from your chats.
