Aveda has been cruelty-free since it was founded in 1978. Global Brand President, Barbara De Laere, talks about the next step for the company - Becoming Vegan. 

Aveda products were vegetarian before because they used beeswax and honey. But they removed these two from the products and became 100% vegan - now and forever. 

Also out of our concern for the environment, over the last several years, Aveda started to eliminate all animal-derived ingredients from our products.
