https://www.aveda.com/ Chloe Brown shows us her favorite everyday top knot hairstyle that’s great to wear out on errands, to the gym, or anytime you want to hide excess oil in second-day hair. This style works can be done on all hair types, curly or straight, and only requires a couple of products and some bobby pins. 

For this top knot style, Chloe starts out by applying Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair from roots to ends to slightly damp hair. This leave-in treatment heals split ends, increases moisture, and helps to prevent damage from styling. Once her hair is completely dry, she uses a comb to section off the top knot by parting her hair on the center of her eyebrows, drawing two angled lines towards the back of her head. To create volume, she teases this section of hair from the back before twisting it into a small bun and securing with a bobby pin. To add even more size and volume, Chloe gently pulls at the top knot to loosen it, adjusting until it’s reached her desired shape and size. She then secures the knot all the way around with more bobby pins, making sure the pins are crossed in the middle to keep the style in place. A final security measure: Chloe spritzes the top knot with Aveda Air Control Light Hold Hair Spray, preventing any future flyaways.
