Learn how to get your natural curls in their best shape yet with Kersti Pitre’s cleansing routine tutorial. Kersti uses three Aveda products to wash, condition, and repair her curly hair so it’s ready for any style. 

The first step in any cleansing routine is typically shampoo, but Kersti treats her hair to Aveda Be Curly Co-Wash instead. A slightly gentler, less oil-stripping cleanser, the co-wash deeply cleans the scalp and roots but leaves hair soft and moisturized with organic babassu oil. The sulfate-free formula keeps frizz at bay and improves the look of curls with every use. After rinsing out the co-wash, Kersti applies Aveda Damage Remedy Intensive Restructuring Treatment and allows the product to sit for about 2-5 minutes. Finally, she uses Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair as a leave-in treatment to protect her curls from heat styling and keep them shiny and hydrated.
