Intimidated by flat iron curls? Steph Willis shows us how easy they can be with this quick tutorial featuring a few of her tried-and-true pro tips for extra volume and lift. 

This flat iron-curled style is great for all hair lengths and only takes a few minutes to put together. To get started, Steph preps her hair with Aveda Thickening Tonic and Aveda Texture Tonic (applied while hair is wet) in order to give her hair plenty of body and grip to hold the style in place. She then sections off her hair and begins styling with a 1” straightener, bending the flat iron through each section to create outward-facing curls. She adds volume with a teasing comb, backcombing at the root and locking the whole style into place with Aveda Air Control Light Hold Hair Spray. 

For a final touch, Steph applies Aveda Feed My Lips Pure Nourish-mint Lipstick in Cana, a statement Hollywood red.
