Sup y’all. I’m gonna start sharing some creative stuff on this account if y’all don’t mind. What the hell is ‘Swamp Love’? Glad you asked. Right now it’s an alias for my personal creative output. Most of what I’ve been working on in my free time is inspired by stuff I encounter related to Florida or Jacksonville. A swamp is a diverse ecosystem full of life. Critics will say swamps are dirty, smelly and unsightly. But there’s beauty there. I feel the same way about the city that raised me and gave me everything I have.

This illustration is an idea I had for a while inspired by Frank Frazetta’s iconic fantasy paintings featured on the album covers of Jacksonville Southern Rock outfit ‘Molly Hatchet’. To Florida-fy it what better figure to portray as a fierce warrior then The Creature from the Black Lagoon?! (Fun fact - this movie was filmed in Florida!). Why ‘Flirtin’ with Duval’? Play on words of the Molly Hatchet’s hit song ‘Flirtin’ with Disaster’. And if you’re flirting with the idea of hanging around Duval County… you just might end up with some Swamp Love yourself…
