If you understood what that sentence means you’re likely a part of Generation Z or Alpha, both of whom have been heavily influenced by the Internet and the culture that has risen around it. Generation Alpha, those born from 2010 to 2024, have a slang vocabulary that may sound foreign to even Gen Zers, potentially because of exposure to the internet from birth. 

So can students at SFSU understand this up and coming generation’s “brain rot” vocabulary?
