In 2014, Eli Hans was diagnosed with anaplastic large cell lymphoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. “I was looking for a special human connection with the right doctor. I didn’t want to be just a number or just another patient.” - Eli Hans 

His care team at Scripps MD Anderson Cancer Center, led by Marin Xavier, MD, provided advanced therapies and compassionate support close to home. As a result of his cancer experience, Hans became a certified cancer coach, sharing his journey to recovery with others who have been newly diagnosed.
