Few places in Massachusetts can claim a golf history as deeply intertwined with academia as Amherst Golf Club. Established in 1900 by leaders of Amherst College, the first college to introduce a men's physical education program, it's purpose was to provide “...a playground where students, faculty, alumni, neighbors, and friends of Amherst can meet in friendly rivalry in the ancient and noble game.”

Now 125 years later, Amherst remains a welcoming, member-operated club known for its charming nine-hole layout, rich traditions, and passionate community. Whether you're a seasoned golfer or new to the game, you're sure to find some of the friendliest ambassadors of golf right here.
