Two dogs were rescued on Thursday morning after they became trapped on an island of downed trees in the Feather River. Located in the northern California town of Oroville, the rescue was conducted by firefighters with the CAL FIRE/Butte County Swiftwater Rescue Team. 

"The dogs were very happy to join our firefighters in their boat and get onto dry land again," officials said. "They were very sweet and totally cooperative."
