Healthcare access remains a critical concern for college athletes. Our recent Players-Only Meeting revealed that nearly half of college football players believe they should receive post-career healthcare coverage for up to 5 years - mirroring the NFL's current model where vested players receive health insurance coverage for 5 years after their last contract.

The need for comprehensive healthcare coverage is particularly relevant as college athletes face unique physical and mental health challenges during and after their athletic careers -there are no standardized post-career healthcare benefits.

Unlike professional athletes with access to extensive post-career medical programs, college athletes often face a healthcare gap after graduation.
