Constable Lucy Desailly not only followed her dad into a career in policing, but has now joined him in the town they both call home.⁣
⁣
Having watched her dad become a police officer when she was five (check the cute pic ☝️), she knew she would eventually do the same - but she didn't necessarily bargain for being stationed with him in Benalla!⁣
⁣
While they won't be working on the same team (just yet!), Lucy's final field placement in mobile duties was Benalla Highway Patrol – the team her dad, Leading Senior Constable Mick Desailly, has been part of for the last 13 years. ⁣
⁣
Much like her dad, Lucy decided to apply for Victoria Police after spending a couple of years in a different field, working as a production operator at a factory in town. ⁣
⁣
When asking Mick if he had any tips for Lucy, he was quick to say she didn’t need them. ⁣
⁣
“I haven’t given her any advice because I’ve tried to let her develop on her own and find her own ways of doing things. My only message to her is just to take every day as it comes and enjoy the job as much as you can.” ⁣
