Let’s talk about these little devices that help thousands of deaf and hard-of-hearing people access sound! Cochlear implants aren’t just hearing aids—they bypass the outer and middle parts of the ear and send sound straight to the brain! Science is wild, right? Not everyone chooses a CI, and that’s okay! But for many, it can be life-changing. Like me! I’m a pediatric audiologist with bilateral cochlear implants, and I help families navigate the deaf and hard of hearing journey every day.
