Raising almost $4,000 during the Miracle Minute, singing songs as a class and competing in a relay, all helped make the annual Warrior Week assembly a success.

Joel, Arapahoe’s Make-A-Wish kid for 2025, is 3 years old and had a heart transplant. His wish is to have a bike track built in his backyard.

Here are some highlights from the assembly:

Joel gets held up by his dad before the relay. 

Senior Mac Shaver sets up equipment for Warrior Vision. “The planning process has never been so big and complicated. The amount of time and effort I've had to now put in with the new screens has really clogged up a lot more time.” he said. “But I love the challenge. I love directing, calling shots and seeing the end result of my hard work and just love seeing everybody fascinated by the product I make.” 

Junior Alexa LeDuff competes in the relay competition. Alongside Joel, Warriors were riding bikes, shooting hoops and eating snacks. “It was exciting and cool being on a team with some of Joel’s family,” she said.

Seniors Annika Yaworski, Madison Basky, Daniella Wright and Bethany Bradley sing “Everything is Awesome” for the class singing competition. “I enjoyed being one of the leaders in our class competition,” Basky said. “It shows how we are setting a good example for the underclassmen in showing school spirit.”

Joel gets ready with his family to ride his bike across the gym.
