Earlier this month, BMW visited BMWAU to explore two exhibitions by artists Julie Mehretu and Cao Fei 🎨

#ArtCarArtist Julie Mehretu’s exhibition at mca_australia is her first ever in the Asia-Pacific region, part of the Sydney International Art Series 2024-25. Don't miss it – on view until April 27, 2025. It’s been an exciting year for juliemehretu, who also debuted the BMW M Hybrid V8 in May 2024 to great acclaim.

Next stop: cao_fei's exhibition at artgalleryofnsw – “My City is Yours (曹斐: 欢迎登陆)” – which blends surreal humor and cyber futurism. Fei's work pushes boundaries with social commentary, Surrealism, and documentary elements. Her innovative approach was on full display in the #BMWArtCar 18, where she reimagines the BMW M6 GT3, exploring the limits of the human mind and bringing the iconic series into the 21st century.
