In 2023, Des Moines watched as a Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired building rose from the corner of 39th Street and Ingersoll Avenue.

The calling cards of his designs — the vertical windows framing the street views, the flat roof, the transom windows letting in as much natural light as possible into the lounge, the natural materials — became apparent as the Prairie-style oakparkdsm restaurant came to completion in fall 2023.

Since its highly anticipated debut, diners have discovered a special place that delivers the quality of service found in high-end restaurants in New York or Chicago, coupled with the delicate dishes made with hyper-local ingredients that are artfully decorated on the plate, the perfect painted palette admired before the first bite is taken.
