No. 5 Syracuse’s women’s lacrosse dropped its second consecutive game Tuesday, falling 12-8 to No. 3 Northwestern.

In Delaney Sweitzer’s return to the JMA Wireless Dome, SU was held scoreless for the first 23 minutes, allowing the Wildcats to take a 5-0 lead they never relinquished.

While Emma Ward helped the Orange cut their deficit to 5-4 in the third quarter, NU was propelled down the stretch by Madison Taylor, who scored a game-high five goals.
