We are so proud of Dwight School's very own "The Mighty Robotics Team" and their robot, TacoBot, for taking home the 🥇1st place innovation award at the NYC Horace Mann Qualifier in NYC FIRST's first ever LEGO League competition! Their prowess also earned them a silver ticket to the semifinals in Queens next week − Wow!

This incredible team, comprised of members Aidan R. '30, Aaryav S. '30, William D. '30, Noah L. '31, and Andrew S. '31 , was cooked up in our Spark Tank Program with the guidance Design teachers and coaches, Jon Coker and Eugene Wang!

For the uninitiated, NYC FIRST (NYCFIRSTRobotics) is a nonprofit organization that works to inspire and empower students from diverse communities across New York City to engage with STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) and robotics in meaningful and joyful ways by creating authentic learning experiences that encourage young people to think critically and creatively, and persevere.
