What’s happening in America is so scary. 

Conversion therapy, a set of harmful practices disguised as “therapy,” continues to be forced on LGBTQ+ youth, despite being rejected by every leading medical and mental health organization. These practices, which falsely claim to change a person’s sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression, only lead to shame, depression, and self-hatred…or worse. It’s time to put an end to this dangerous practice.

I’m proud to stand with Born Perfect, a program of the National Center for Lesbian Right’s non-profit, that fights to protect LGBTQ+ youth from these harmful practices. Born Perfect has helped pass conversion therapy bans in 22 states and over 115 cities, empowering survivors and advocating for laws that protect our community. I’m also honored to have partnered with the NYC Gay Men’s Chorus to release my new song “My Revival,” with a percentage of proceeds benefiting the Born Perfect project. 

What’s so special about ‘My Revival’ is that it’s a song about self-empowerment, resilience, and embracing your truth. It’s about reclaiming your power, finding strength in who you really are, and rejecting the shame that others try to impose on you. This aligns perfectly with the mission of Born Perfect—fighting to protect LGBTQ+ youth from the harmful, life-altering effects of conversion therapy. The song is a celebration of survival and transformation, reminding everyone that they are worthy of love and acceptance just as they are.

A portion of the proceeds from this collaboration with the NYC Gay Men’s Choir will go to fund Born Perfect for the lifetime of this recording. 
It is another way i can stand behind the causes i care deeply about and worry about in this new ‘dawn’ of America.
