Religion & Class of 2027. 💙Why did you choose SWU? What was the deciding factor? I have heard much about SWU being in a Wesleyan Church since my teen years. The deciding factor was when my Mom encouraged me to leave my comfort zone and go to a college, which I felt the LORD was leading me to. I prayed about it and found that SWU is genuinely where the LORD wanted me to attend. 📖What influenced your decision to come here over other schools? Two critical factors in my rational reasonings were the weather and community; I have lived in the coldness of Pennsylvania my whole life, and knowing there was a tight-knit, God-honoring campus in the warmth of the south. 🚪How did you see God working in you and through you and others to open doors?   God has opened doors, such as my community in Pennsylvania rallying around my commitment to SWU, financial aid being flexible, and the ability to discover new connections down here from people I likely never would’ve met if not for SWU.  ✝️How has your faith grown since you’ve been a SWU? My faith has grown tremendously, primarily due to new disciplines and independence. The biblical independence on campus, which is the ability to make independent choices that honor God, has been excellent.
