SFU represented at last night’s Sport BC 57th Athlete of the Year Awards, with one current Red Leaf and two alumni bringing home awards!

Senior sfutrack.xc athlete Marie-Eloise Leclair was named the 2024 Post-Secondary Athlete of the Year following her NCAA and Team Canada/Olympic accomplishments in 2024. 🏃‍♀️

sfuwrestling alumni Justina Di Stasio was named the 2024 isparcbc Female Athlete of the Year for her contributions to sport as an Indigenous athlete, coach, and Olympian. 🤼‍♀️

sfuwbb alumni Katie Miyazaki was named the Bobbie Steen Legacy Foundation Award Recipient for her work on breaking barriers and creation opportunities for girls and women in traditionally male-dominated sports like football. 🏀🏈

Congratulations to these three amazing women and thank you for representing SFU and the province of BC!
